General Information Package
We have promotional videos & glossy brochures of the 5 top brands in the world. Until our industry grows a little more, we must charge a small fee of $25 for the video, all the brochures, & industry info pack. Please contact us to order one.
And yes, these are all expensive DVD's & VHS Tapes, but the information will pay for itself ten-fold as you review them with your progress as a pilot.
STUDENTS:If you are going to be a future student of ours, please order and become familiar with the 'required' materials below. They will reduce your instructional time considerably and give us an instant dialogue during your instruction.

Weight Shift Control Text Book (Required) $80
The foremost authorities on weight shift control aircraft & trikes have come together to create the text we've all been waiting for. From terminology & theory to maintenance & tuning, this the best text in the industry. It is written by my 'alma matter' and will be constantly referred to as a reference during your life as a triker as well as your initial instruction.

Federal Aviation Regulations & Airman Information Manual (Required) $25
These are our rules for the sky. No, not everything in this book will apply to us, nor will we be reading the whole thing, but as aviators, we have a responsibility to be familiar with the rules of the road that other pilots and aircraft are abiding by, as well as ourselves. There is some well deserved animosity towards ultralights in the world of aviation. Knowing their rules shows respect and will help secure our place in the world of General Aviation.

Airport & Facility Directory (Required) $25
Yes, if you buy the right GPS, it will have a considerable amount of this information in it. BUT, you will need this book during your training and the batteries will never go dead when you need important information. This directory gives all pertinent information that might be needed about the airports in the area you fly in. They usually cover 3-4 states. The one we will be using is for the Northwest. Remember at test time, that this book has diagrams & pictures of some of the airports, but NOT ALL OF THEM...

Aviation Chart or Sectional (Required) $15
Airspace, airspace, airspace. This is your Rand McNalley Road Map for the sky. Again, you'll refer to it before, during and after almost every flight.

The Right Trike for You! (Optional) $49
Although Ergonomics & Economics are the name of the game, this DVD/VHS is a good start to educating yourself on the brands & options that exist for trikes. It takes the time to relate the equipment and your goals the the Sport Pilot program as well as the existing Part 103 of the FAR/AIM.

South to South (Optional) $59
You'll wear this out! This is why we all ended up at this website. The essence of ultralight adventure is portrayed in this film as two trikers fly an 8-month international expedition from Argentina to South Africa. With a little help from a map or globe, you can see & imagine what this film and type of flying is all about. The cinematography & story line make this a DVD an absolute must. Your wife will be sick of it, but there's a couple scenes in there for her too...

Weather To Fly (Recommended) $59
Here's your answer to, "Is it ok to fly today?" Watch this video and then you can tell me! Again, this is a lesson that you'll want to keep on your shelf. As you fly more and more, the information on the tape/dvd will mean more and more. It's very easy to understand and it's produced by a great pilot of trikes & gliders.

How Fly an Ultralight Trike (Optional) $49
This is one hour of a typical 1st lesson in a trike. It is narrated by a very experienced instructor and one of my good friends in the flying world.

Ultralight-Sport Pilot Informational DVD/VHS (Optional) $49
Another good source of information for those who are debating between the single-seat Part-103 aircraft and the two-seat Sport Pilot aircraft.

How To Setup & Take Down A Trike Wing
We'll cover this subject in ground school but if you don't plan to take you wing down or set it up frequently, you'll forget how to do it. This DVD/Video will just be a refresher down the road. Not all wings are the same, but the demonstrator does a nice job warning of differences as he goes.
How to Preflight a Trike
The title tells all. This DVD/Video takes the time to break down the all the essentials of a thorough preflight. Even if you're new to the sport, this is where it all starts and its a great opportunity to learn some of the terminology and get a close look at the aircraft and it's assemblies.
